The Scientists of Kenya Association (SCOKA) is a duly and legally registered association
under the Societies Act, Cap 108 Laws of Kenya, through the Registrar of Societies in
Kenya. Founded in 2023 by Everlyn Kimanthi, a young Biological Scientist and
passionate advocate for science, research, innovation, and youth empowerment,
SCOKA was established to create a strong and inclusive platform for scientists in
Kenya and beyond.
SCOKA is a vibrant sectoral organization dedicated to bridging communities, societies,
and nations through enhanced interactions between science, research, technology,
innovation, and diplomacy. The association champions the role of science in
addressing national, regional, and global challenges across diverse scientific
disciplines.
Since its establishment, SCOKA has remained at the forefront of promoting science as
a vital driver of community development, policy influence, innovation, education, and
sustainable transformation. The association brings together students, early-career
researchers, professionals, academicians, innovators, and industry experts from
various scientific fields to foster collaboration, mentorship, professional growth, and
impactful scientific engagement.
